Individuals
70% of young people in France would like to work for the territorial civil service.
Since January 1, 2010, the CNFPT has been responsible for organizing exams, updating job offers, managing unemployed officials for the senior management of the territorial civil service including administrators, cultural heritage officers, library conservators and chief engineers. It also offers services relating to employment and mobility.
Other category A positions and all category B and category C positions are the responsibility of departmental management centres.
A career path is classed by career principle in the civil service. Therefore, obtaining a specific
grade does not guarantee a job.
